About Richele
Many people come to therapy feeling stuck in cycles they cannot quite explain, overwhelmed by life’s demands, or disconnected from the people they care about most.
I’m Richele Kramer, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate based in Cypress, Texas. I work with individuals, couples, and families who want greater clarity in their lives and healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.
Many of the people I work with are navigating relationship challenges, difficult past experiences, or behaviors that no longer feel helpful. Therapy offers a place to slow down, reflect on what is happening beneath the surface, and begin making thoughtful shifts that lead to more balanced and fulfilling lives.
My Approach to Therapy
I believe emotional well-being is deeply connected to the way we relate to the people around us. When communication breaks down or unresolved experiences begin affecting relationships, it can impact every part of life.
In our work together, we focus on identifying underlying dynamics, improving communication, and developing practical strategies that support healthier interactions and greater emotional stability. My role is to help clarify what may feel confusing while guiding conversations toward meaningful progress.
I draw from several evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems work, Structural Family Therapy, and the Gottman Method to support individuals, couples, and families as they work toward healing and a stronger connection.
In addition, I have experience working with individuals navigating coercive control, emotional abuse, and domestic violence. I support clients as they gain clarity, reconnect with their voice, and begin healing, whether they are preparing to leave or rebuilding after a difficult relationship.
My Background
Before becoming a therapist, I spent several years working one-on-one with people as a Certified Life Coach. That experience strengthened my interest in helping others work through personal challenges and create healthier patterns in their lives.
I later earned my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University and completed a 17-month clinical internship at Cy-Hope Counseling Center. My training also includes specialized study in trauma-informed care.
Today, I continue this work at Cy-Hope Counseling, where I provide both in-person and virtual sessions in a warm and welcoming environment.
My Credentials
Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology – University of New Orleans
Master of Arts (M.A.) in Marriage and Family Therapy, Trauma Specialty – Abilene Christian University (Graduated December 2025)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFT-A)
Supervised by Cynthia Carter, LMFT-S & LPC-S, M.A.
